hills marathon x diy

La semana pasada, tuvimos un yard sale. Me quede con cuatro camisas de mi amigo. Obviamente, no me quedaban...I had to fix that. DIY time!
Two of the shirts were boring v-necks so I simply raised the hem so they don't look like I'm walking out hungover, shoes in hand, on a Saturday morning. The other two were loud and graphic and irresistible.

Here is the first t-shirt: (yes, that's Elvis)
As soon as I laid eyes on this number, I knew it was destined for my growing collection of crop tops. (They're officially on the runway, boo-ya.)
Since the rule for crop top is the wider the better, I first cut around the neckline so the fabric falls off the shoulders.
Next, I cut the shirt to the desired length (about 2 inches above the navel) and turned the shirt inside-out. I folded the fabric about an inch up to create a hem, and sewed a zigzag seam around the entire width of the shirt.
Aqui te lo presento:

I'm in midriff heaven.

  1. Also, this is awesome. I love how you put up pictures from the runway. It's like a thesis with supporting arguments. Love it.
