woah girl.I thought, "surely I could find some trim and add a couple inches this scandal!" Well, some people had already beat me to it...
and some stylish ladies online...
Entonces, I grabbed some black lace and started my denim revamp. I flipped the (now) shorts inside out, pinned the trim about a 1/4 inch from the edge
and sewed as close to the edge as I could. Voila!
The seam is far from perfect, but I don't care. They don't call denim "destroyed" for nothin'. So don't fret - try it with a floral print, let the pockets peek out, whatev. Go make yourself some new shorts, it's too damn hot outside!

ReplyDeleteThere should be more of these. It's like a fun lady tip. Who doesn't want to be able to create hot, fresh looks from clothes we already own? Who doesn't want to be able to sew something awesome without it being too hard? Who doesn't want to answer those "Where did you get that?" questions with, "Oh, I made this"? Loved this post.
