Comfort Chambers

An atom acquires particles to fill its unoccupied orbital. When an atom lacks these essential particles, it is said to be in an “unstable” state.

Motivated by this classification, I investigate our relationship with domestic spaces. We fill our rooms with our belongings to feel at home. In the series “Comfort Chambers”, I impose my own domestic interiors on abandoned spaces. However, my belongings do not function in the same way they do in my living space. I attempt to “settle” the space with these objects, and fail.
